Medical physics PhD position at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Medical physics research program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, under the direction of prof. dr. Robert Jeraj, is seeking a doctoral student, who will work in one research areas of interest, under the umbrella of personalized medicine with particular focus on AI-supported image guided therapies across spectrum of diseases and applications (see specific research areas: https://medfiz.si/en/medical-physics).

The doctoral student will join an extremely vibrant interdisciplinary research group of physicists, physicians, computer scientists and other related sciences (see group members: https://medfiz.si/en/members) with ample opportunities for mentoring and personal growth. The Medical physics research program is tightly linked with the international research groups, in particular with the Image guided therapy group at the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI, USA

The doctoral students will be enrolled in the PhD program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana (see the program: https://www.fmf.uni-lj.si/en/study-physics/programmes/3mafi/2023/.

Educational requirements:
MSc in physics, mathematics, computer sciences or related disciplines

Experience:
Proven interest in medical physics research

Start of employment:
September 2024

Duration of employment:
Until completion of the PhD studies (approximately 4 years)
