The Centre for Extrapyramidal Diseases at the Neurology Clinic of the UKC Ljubljana has achieved a new research success.The world’s most important peer-reviewed journal in the field of movement disorders, Movement Disorders (with an impact factor of 10.338), has selected the paper by neurologists Associate Prof. Dr. Maja Kojović and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rok Berlot as the paper of the year. The two researchers studied how different internal and external factors, independent of medication, influence fluctuations in the clinical expression of movement disorders. one of the more well-known is music, which in some patients elicits almost unbelievable, albeit momentary, changes.
