Medical physics postdoctoral research position at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia

Medical physics research program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, under the direction of prof. dr. Robert Jeraj, is seeking a postdoctoral student, who will work in one or more of the selected research areas of interest (see the research areas: https://medfiz.si/en/medical-physics). The postdoctoral student will join an extremely vibrant interdisciplinary research group of physicists, physicians, computer scientists and other related sciences (see group members: https://medfiz.si/en/members) with ample opportunities for mentoring and personal growth. The Medical physics research program is tightly linked with the international research groups, in particular with the Image guided therapy group at the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (see the group: https://www.medphysics.wisc.edu/research/image-guided-therapy/). In addition to work on one of the ongoing research projects, postdoctoral students will be encouraged to initiate their own independent research that is within the broader scope of medical physics research group interests.

Educational requirements:
PhD in physics, mathematics, biomedical engineering, computer sciences or medical sciences

Experience:
Proven research capability through high-quality publications

Duration of employment:
Flexible, minimum 9 months
