The RIS competition is a competition in the development of new analytical methods in medicine, with an emphasis on machine learning. It is organised by the Medical Physics program group (UL FMF) and DMFA.
The central theme of this year’s competition is Breast cancer: What can we learn from mammograms?
The competition is intended for students of both secondary and tertiary level of education, who compete in teams with a maximum of three members.
The competition starts with an introductory lecture, where the broader background of the problem is explained and continues with two levels of competition. The first serves as a qualification for the second, where the top three teams will also receive a monetary award.
