Young researcher (full-time employment, application deadline 30 June 2021)<\/p>\n
At UL FMF, in October 2021, we will offer employment to a young researcher or young researchers. The mentor will be prof. Robert Jeraj PhD.<\/p>\n
Treatment Opt<\/span>imisation based on Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers <\/span><\/span><\/span>The main question<\/span> addres<\/span>sed in this<\/span>doctoral work<\/span>will be how<\/span> molecular imaging<\/span>-based <\/span>Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers of early treatment response and adverse effects<\/span> can<\/span> i mprove <\/span>clinical decision making.<\/span>Doctoral work will include development of advanced image analytics <\/span>(e.g., machine learning, radiomics) for quantification and longitudinal disease <\/span>follow<\/span>-up during <\/span>therapy. In collaboration with our clinical partners in Slovenia (OI, UKC) and internationa<\/span>l <\/span>partners (EU, USA, Australia) within Networks of Imaging eXcellence (NIX) Alliance, these <\/span>tools will be applied to a number of clinical studies of state<\/span>–<\/span>of -the<\/span>-art therapies (e.g., <\/span>immunotherapy, theranostics). The results of analyses will be used for de<\/span>velopment of disease <\/span>models with the main goal of construction of <\/span>a system<\/span>for optimal <\/span>therapy <\/span>planning. Doctoral <\/span><\/span>work will be highly interdisciplinary and conducted <\/span>within the medical physics research program<\/span>and associated<\/span>international collaborations<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
