Kristjan Anderle (Cosylab, d.d.): Real-time adaptive particle therapy of cancer (RAPTOR): Challenges and expectations<\/p>\n<p>ABSTRACT: Particle therapy is an established treatment of cancer in diseases sub-optimally treated by classical gamma radiotherapy. The modern challenge is to broaden its reach from niche applications to common cancers. One of the most challenging aspects of particle therapy is the ever-changing geometry of the patient, changing over several time scales: from seconds during therapy fractions to weeks over which the fractions are delivered. In the seminar, the adaptive particle therapy paradigm will be presented where changes are identified and compensated in the adaptation of the treatment plans to current patient anatomy, the subject of recently approved EU ETN project RAPTOR.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture will be held in English: <a href=\"https:\/\/uni-lj-si.zoom.us\/j\/95514657868\">https:\/\/uni-lj-si.zoom.us\/j\/95514657868<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. A.
